ABOUT:

Aloha! I’m Kory Pang Ching, Owner of Hānai Helpers LLC. The idea for Hānai Helpers came from a deeply personal place. I had the privilege of living with my grandmother during her golden years, supporting her as she worked to stay independent at home. The time we spent together gave me lasting memories filled with joy.

But it wasn’t always easy. As time went on, her needs increased, and it became harder to keep up. Her children were also aging and doing their best to support her, but meeting all her daily needs often felt like a full-time job. We all wanted her to feel safe and supported at home, but at times we were stretched thin as we had our own personal responsibilities. Looking back, I know that having extra help could have made the experience a lot less stressful for everyone.

She was able to remain in her home until the age of 95 before moving to a care facility that could provide 24/7 supervision. That time at home meant so much to her and to all of us.

I know many families face similar situations, doing their best to care for their kūpuna while managing work, children, and everyday responsibilities. That’s why I created Hānai Helpers: to offer the kind of support that makes it easier for families to care for their loved ones while maintaining balance in their own lives.

We offer affordable and dependable, non-medical assistance that helps kūpuna stay safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own homes. From running errands and providing companionship to helping with light housekeeping or basic yard care, our mission is to serve with compassion, consistency, and aloha.

Hānai Helpers gives families peace of mind, reduces stress, and helps strengthen the bonds between generations. We are here to be that extra support when it is needed most.
